PA Child Abuse History Clearance (Good for 3 years)
*There is no fee.

PA Criminal Record Check (Annual Requirement)

After entering your information, it will generate the "Certification Form" in a few seconds, email the report to [email protected]g
FBI Criminal
* Fee(s) must be paid for by the volunteer. For question about your FBI Clearance, please contact the FBI/Adam Walsh Unit at 717-783-6211 or 1-877-371-5422.
**Only necessary if not a PA resident within last ten years.
The Pennsylvania Department of Human Services is utilizing Cogent Systems to process fingerprint-based FBI criminal background checks. The fingerprint-based background check is a multiple step process.

Mandatory Reporting for Suspected Child Abuse (Good for 5 years)
*There is no fee.
**This is a new law in Pennsylvania. If someone suspects that a child is being abused in any way, that person must call and report it.
Every coach must take this free online course for recognizing and reporting suspected child abuse.

Concussion Training (Annual Requirement)
*There is no fee. (1 hour course)
The NFHS has teamed up with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to educate coaches, officials, parents and students on the importance of proper concussion recognition and management in high school sports. This course highlights the impact of sports-related concussion on athletes, teaches how to recognize a suspected concussion, and provides protocols to manage a suspected concussion with steps to help players return to play safely after a concussion. Each state's requirements for concussion management are included as part of the course. A Spanish track is also available for this course.
